Pioneer Seminar"Residential Development: the new way(s) forward"
Thursday 14th June 2012, London
Localism and the National Planning Policy Framework are upon us and with both the Housing and Planning systems going through major upheaval this is an appropriate time to pause and reflect upon the new challenges and opportunities. Certainly Mr Pickles continues to cause consternation in the long-running CALA saga and we're therefore delighted to have secured both Peter Village QC (4-5 Grays Inn) and Ian Ginbey (Clyde & Co) as keynote speakers to address our next Seminar (in association with Clyde & Co) and bring us up-to-date on the nuances of all the new guidance, legislation and decisions.
The Seminar, to be Chaired by Gareth Capner (ex-Senior Partner at Barton Willmore), will explore the emerging central trends in residential development and hence, as well as the focus on Localism, NPPF and CIL, will also examine the contemporary issues of community consultation, build to let, Pension Fund investment opportunities, the changing role of RP's and how this (might) all add-up to stimulate economic growth.
All of the speakers have ‘walked the walk’ and are expert practitioners in their field so the theme is intelligent analysis and the practical implications of all this change for your organisation. The doldrums’ phase of academic debate is over and this seminar will unashamedly concentrate on what we should all be doing next to make things work.
Many of the leading firms in the sector have attended previous Seminars and the popular format of concise presentations with a concluding panel session is combined with opportunities to meet, discuss and hear advice from some of the leading players in the sector.
How to Book:
The Seminar will commence with Registration & Breakfast between 9:15am - 10:00am and will finish with a Buffet Lunch between 1:15pm - 2:00pm.
