East Berks College, Maidenhead

Pioneer advised Dandara regarding the former East Berkshire College site in Maidenhead, and have now concluded the section 106 affordable housing negotiations.

Through detailed negotiations with the local planning authority Pioneer was able to promote a position which incorporates an up to date and realistic affordable housing obligation including:

- A dwelling mix that reflects the local planning authority’s housing needs evidence comprising of 74% one and two bedroom flats and 26% three bedroom houses.

- A tenure mix of 26% Affordable Rent and 74% Shared Ownership in response to local need and community consultation.

- Appropriate build completion triggers to assist with developer cash flow.

This is turn generated significant interest from Registered Providers enabling Pioneer to secure best value for the affordable housing sale.
